A specialist manager, built to institutional standards.
Apollo Investment Management is an ASIC-licensed Australian funds manager operating from Sydney's CBD — offering wholesale investors access to three distinct, rigorously managed fund structures.
Three wholesale funds. One disciplined framework.
Apollo Investment Management Pty Ltd (ABN 22 673 370 717, AFSL 559566) operates from Level 7, 191 Clarence Street, Sydney. We serve wholesale clients exclusively — private investors, family offices, self-managed superannuation funds, and the advisers who act for them.
A significant proportion of our investors are Mandarin speakers. We conduct business, produce documents and report to investors in both English and Chinese as a matter of course — not on request.
We are deliberately focused. The people making portfolio decisions are the same people accountable for how the licence is run — there is no distribution layer between the manager and the investor. That alignment is intentional.
Apollo holds three distinct roles across three funds. In the Apollo Investment Management Fund, we are trustee, investment manager and administrator. In the Master Fund, we are the Sponsor — the licensee under which offers are made. In the Apollo Venture Capital Fund, we act as manager alongside a separate general partner.

Wholesale Only
All three funds are offered exclusively to investors who qualify as wholesale clients under sections 761G and 761GA of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
Built to compound. Not to chase.
We pursue consistent, long-term capital growth — without the single bad year that erases the previous three.
01
Research first. Position sizing second. Price last.
Every holding begins with a written investment case: what the business does, what must be true for it to be worth more than it costs, and what would tell us we were wrong. Position size is set before capital is committed. When the case no longer holds, the position is closed on the facts — not held in hope.
02
Concentration, with its trade-offs disclosed
A focused portfolio of 20 to 40 holdings lets our research reach the depth each position deserves. It also means a single poor outcome carries more weight than it would in a broad index. We treat that as a risk to be disclosed — not a feature to be marketed.
03
Security over sentiment
Property exposure is taken through secured lending — a contracted rate, a defined term, a registered security interest and a loan-to-value ratio set at origination against an independent valuation. Each loan is assessed on the security property first, the borrower second.
04
Liquidity matched to the asset, not the marketing
A fund that cannot meet redemptions has failed its investors — regardless of its return figures. Daily dealing is offered where assets are listed securities. Where a fund holds loans or unlisted positions, dealing terms reflect that reality. We would rather explain a lock-up than suspend a fund.
05
What we publish matches what the document says
Marketing material, website copy and the offer document must agree. Where they cannot yet be reconciled, the website is left blank rather than filled with an estimate. Where a fund has no performance history, we say so — rather than borrowing a track record from elsewhere.
The people responsible for the portfolios and for the licence.
Zhiming Liu, CFA
Director, Portfolio Manager
Zhiming leads portfolio management and holds Apollo's responsible manager obligations under the AFSL. After company was acquired by Futu Securities, he spent over three years as Head of Trading at moomoo Securities Australia (part of Futu Holdings), running share and options trading for the Australian business, before building and managing licensed fund structures across listed equities, private credit and venture capital.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, a Master of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Applied Finance from the University of South Australia. He works fluently in English and Mandarin.
